Great American Weekend

Since 1982, the Great American Weekend has been a tradition that defines Goshen as a Great American Community. Originally intended to bolster attendance at the Historic Track after betting was eliminated, the Great American Weekend offers activities for every member of the family and has grown into one of the county's most prestigious events.

 

Fun for all ages, 20K people a day stroll the nine-acre village surrounding the First Presbybyterian Church, Hudson Valley Magazine's, Ted Speigel, wrote it is "arguably the Hudson Valley's liveliest Fourth of July celebration...(attendees) inspecting the offerings at 150 craft booths, grazing their way through a culinary snackopedia, and clapping approval for local entertainers."

 

 

This community event has funded many amazing programs benefiting the entire community. Revenue, generated by vendor fees, supports scholarships, grants and programs which serve the Greater Goshen area.

REGISTRATION FEES:

FOOD VENDORS - $ 500  for the weekend

ARTISAN AND CRAFT VENDERS, COMMUNITY SERVICE + POLITICAL ORGANIZATIONS, SPONSORS (bring your own tent):

- $265  for the weekend if application is postmarked  by 5/18 

- $320   if application is postmarked after 5/18                                

CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS (bring your own tent):

- $200 for the weekend if application is postmarked by  5/18 

- $250 if application is postmarked after 5/18

  • No electricity is available
  • No generators
  • No refunds
  • Event held rain or shine

Applications must be postmarked by Friday June 8th.   After that date, if there is availability, there will be an additional charge.

TO BE INCLUDED IN OUR MARKETING, YOUR APPLICATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5/15. WE ARRANGE ALL PUBLICITY: Press releases, websites, networking events, posters, flyers, chamber newsletter, radio, e-marketing, newspapers, community calendar, PSA, yard signs, on top of your own exhibitor publicity.
