WALDEN, NY – The law firm of Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP (J&G) is pleased to announce that Kelly A. Pressler, Senior Counsel concentrating in general, commercial, and municipal litigation, was elected to the Board of Directors for Safe Homes of Orange County on April 30, 2019.
Safe Homes of Orange County’s mission is to work toward the elimination of intimate partner violence, teen dating violence, and trafficking by providing comprehensive support services to victims and their children, and by increasing public awareness about these issues and encouraging accountability for perpetrators.
Kelly A. Pressler received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2006 from Siena College in Loudonville, New York. Kelly received her Juris Doctor degree in 2009 from Albany Law. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York as well as the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of the State of New York. She is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Kelly is currently serving her second term as Vice President of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York., and as treasurer of the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
Ms. Pressler is the recipient of the 2016 Outstanding New Lawyer Award, as presented by the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties, and was named a 2018, 2017 and 2016 Upstate New York Rising Star by Super Lawyers.
Kelly is also a graduate of the Leadership Orange Class of 2018 and currently serves on the Program Committee.
Kelly resides in Montgomery with her husband and three young children.
