Goshen Chamber of Commerce Launches Professional Development Programs
The Goshen Chamber of Commerce will launch the first in person Lunch and Learn program for 2021 on May 5, 2021. The topic is Landing the Perfect Job and will be facilitated by Cathy Parlapiano, owner of Here’s Help Staffing and Recruiting. During the program, Cathy will share her in depth knowledge of the job search process with participants including how to write a winning resume, how to differentiate yourself to employers, interviewing tips for in person and virtual interviews, and how to partner with a hiring expert. Amy Van Amburgh, President of the Goshen Chamber of Commerce, recently shared her view with the Board of Directors about this program, “The topic is a great fit for recent college graduates and anyone who is considering a new career path, Cathy really knows what employers are looking for in Orange County, NY.”
Additional Professional Development programs will be offered every month. Topics include Finance Fundamentals for the Business Owner, Powerful Presentation Skills, Improving the Customer Experience, and Networking and Influencing. Goshen Chamber of Commerce members who are subject matter experts will be leading the professional development programs. The venue for the in-person programs is the CoLab in downtown Goshen, NY. Investment is $40.00 for members and $45.00 for nonmembers. Lunch is included. If you have an idea for a topic or would like to facilitate a program, please reach out the Goshen Chamber.
