As a member of The Goshen Chamber of Commerce, we aim to help you celebrate business milestones. Whether it’s a new location, remodel, new ownership, grand opening, rebranding, expansion, milestone occasion, or any other significant event, we want to assist you in connecting with fellow Chamber members and the broader Goshen community. To make the most of this occasion, we’ve provided some tips and tricks below.

Why Host a Ribbon Cutting?

What are the benefits of hosting a ribbon cutting?

Everyone deserves celebration, especially those contributing to our local economy by creating jobs and offering services within the Goshen community and beyond. By hosting a ribbon cutting, you can:

• Introduce the business community to your establishment.
• Promote your business within the local community and beyond.
• Generate potential leads and sales from attendees and those who learn about the ribbon cutting from our website or social media.

The objective is to make the event memorable and share it with the community, raising awareness about your business!

How do Ribbon Cuttings Work?

We provide the ribbon, scissors, and a Certificate of Recognition. Custom and shareable social media content will be created by our Chamber staff. We often collaborate with other local chambers to which our members belong in celebrating your Ribbon Cutting. Additionally, the Goshen Chamber of Commerce will:

• Invite all Chamber members, government officials, and media to your event (Note: The Chamber does not guarantee attendance).
• Post your event on the Chamber website after booking is confirmed with a staff member (please allow one business day for posting).
• Promote your event on our social media channels and our monthly newsletters to our 1,000+ subscribers.

Consider the following for your event:

• Who will cut the ribbon? Typically, the owners or top executives do the honors, but each business is unique, and you can choose anyone you prefer.
• What would you like to say? Just before cutting the ribbon, a short speech is usually given, thanking friends, family, business partners, and attendees.
• What would you like to your Ribbon Cutting to include? Those hosting Ribbon Cuttings may provide refreshments, drinks, prizes, and decorations.
